TRUFFLE CANAPE

Ingredients

  • Fresh country-style bread or white bread loaf
  • Autumn truffle butter
  • Watercress or rocket for presentation

These truffle canapés are the perfect way to indulge truffles without sweating too long over a hot stove or fiddling with a host of different ingredients. Cut the desired canapés shapes and lightly toast them in the oven (broiler). To avoid melting all the butter, wait for the canapés to be lukewarm before spreading the truffle butter. Serve on a bed of watercress or rocket, and pour the champagne!
