St Agouant - Methode Champenoise

Saint AgouantAnother wonderful discovery from Gitton Pere & Fils: a sparkling wine made according to the Methode Traditionnelle or Champenoise (ie Champagne Method), that is, produced in the same way as champagne. The bubbles are very fine and creamy, the nose is discrete and the mouth ample with white flowers aromas.

The vineyards are located in Duras, a South West region of France and stored for aging nowhere else than…in the cellars of Saint Emilion in Bordeaux! We are lucky to enjoy the 1997 vintage as the 1999 is getting ready for bottling. yes, over 10 years old and superbly fresh !
